May the peace of the Lord be with you always.
I start my day by writing down one chapter
from the New Testament and meditating on it (QT).
We thank you for giving us the gift of the Holy Spirit and grace as we read the Word every day, and for making us healthy both physically and spiritually.
Today’s reading is [2 Corinthians 10 (verses 1-18)].
Things we should be proud of

1. I, Paul, who am gentle when present with you but firm toward you when away, now appeal to you in the meekness and gentleness of Christ.
2. What I ask you is that when I come to you, I will not be as hard on you as I would be on those who think that we walk according to the flesh.
3. Because even though we live in the flesh, we do not fight according to the flesh.
4. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but have divine power to pull down strongholds. We destroy arguments and every conceivable thing.
5. Demolishing every pretension that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and taking captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
6. In addition, we are ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is complete.
7. Look at what is before your eyes. If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ, let him consider that just as he belongs to Christ, so also do we .
8. Even if we boast a little too much about our authority, we will not be ashamed, since it has been given to us by the Lord for your building up and not for your destruction.
9. I don't want to seem like I'm trying to scare you with my letters.
10. Some people say, "His letters are weighty and powerful, but when you see him in person, he is weak and his words are not refreshing."
11. But you should know that the way these people act when they are away is the same as how they act when they are together.
12. We do not want to be like the self-praising people or compare ourselves with them, for they measure themselves against themselves and compare themselves with themselves, and are not wise .
13. But we will not boast beyond our means, but within the bounds of the measure which God has given us , and our boasting is that we have reached you.
14. For we did not go to you in boasting of ourselves, as if we were not able to come to you, but in the gospel of Christ we came as far as you.
15. Nor do we boast beyond our means about other people's labor, but we hope that through your faith our sphere of activity among you will increase greatly .
16. So, ultimately, it is for spreading the gospel beyond your own region, not for boasting about what has already been prepared in someone else's territory.
17. “ Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord .”
18. It is not the one who praises himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord praises .

What are you bragging to someone about right now?
" 12. We do not want to be like those who praise themselves or compare themselves with such people. They measure themselves against themselves and compare themselves with others, and they are not wise ."
We who believe in Jesus, are saved, and can call God our Father should boast differently from the people of the world.
Through today’s message, I took a moment to meditate on what Christians should boast about .
Based on what I have learned from your words, I think there are three major areas in which we should be proud.
First, we are those who have received the power of God.
"4. For the weapons we fight with are not of the world but have divine power to destroy strongholds ."
That is, we are people who have been given the power of God to tear down strongholds.
A person who has been given the power to destroy sophistry by the wisdom of God and to take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Second, as those who belong to Christ, we have received the power of Jesus Christ.
"7. Just as he belongs to Christ, so also do we. "
We believe in Christ and confess with our mouths and are saved.
We belong to Christ.
We do not belong to the world, but we belong to Christ and are children of God.
This identity changes the direction of our lives and makes us follow the standards of the kingdom of God rather than the standards of the world.
Thirdly, as a person belonging to God, you have the ability to spread the gospel and influence non-believers to grow and expand their faith and lead them to salvation.
"15. As your faith grows, our sphere of activity among you expands greatly ."
If we joyfully spread the mystery of God's justice and love, and the salvation through Jesus Christ's death on the cross and resurrection, and obtain eternal life, and if through this many people are saved, it is truly something to boast about.
It is a true source of pride when the faith of believers grows and many people turn to God through the gospel we preach.
If someone comes to know God and is changed through our lives, isn't that the most valuable thing?
But he says, "17. Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord ."
"18. It is not the one who praises himself that is approved, but the one whom the Lord praises ."
You must realize that it is not because you are good that you have been given these abilities and powers.
When we are humble and obedient, God adds power to power and glorifies us for His glory.
We must always confess that we are lacking servants, and if we have received glory in any work, it is glory given to us by the ability and power given by God, and we must offer it back to God.
We can boast only in the God of true love and in the Lamb, Jesus Christ.
